I mean, its not close, but there's a couple things that depend on it.

If you have McDavid and Draisaitl as your top two centres but your best RD is Dylan DeMelo, you'll want Fox.

Matthews was literally 2nd in the league in takeaways, and scored 47 goals, 80 points in 70 games as a 22 year old. Elite defensively, elite offensively. C is the most valuable position, though D is a close 2nd.

My issue is that i cannot add to the Matthews is the best player in the league talk (hes not even top 3) so I voted Fox just to piss off some leaf fans.

vote for who is actually better. The "best player in the league" talk has nothing to do with this. He's not the best player in the league, and he's not top 3, every Leafs fan knows this. He's a top 5 center though and will soon be a top 3 player once Crosby retires, he'll be behind Mack and McDavid. Vote for who is actually better, not just to piss people off

I'm afraid it's not a joke. I love fox, I think he's shadowed behind Makar and Hughes in this rookie class and was the third best rookie this year behind those two, but he's not close to Matthews. There's not a single rookie I'd trade him for this year.

Well that’s not exactly a simple question. I’m an oilers fan and would rather fox simple because can’t afford Mathews. Not willing to create the space. No doubt Mathews is the better and more value able player but if your thinking about adding to your favourite team out of all fairness fox is a very attractive option that doesn’t require a lot of finical hurdles.
