True story: I wouldn't trade any single thing from the Wild's side for the entire Leaf's offer, good luck with all 3.

Ya, zero chance of getting that Wild deal done. Beckman is a top 4 prospect in the organization and Fiala is our current "star forward" on the up and coming. There is no way Fiala goes out without either Marner or Nylander coming back... period.

But Nylander is coming back... was it different before or something?

For now, and ultimately, it's debatable. Not that I'm interested in doing so. The point is mute irregardless of that fact, the Wild don't need or want to play musical chairs with high-end talent.

Really, what's the point of this?

For a team lacking any high-end talent beyond Fiala and possibly Kaprizov, why would you just swap Fiala for Nylander?

The answer is you don't.

The singular reason why a team like the Wild goes out and acquires a talent like Nylander is to add him to the existing talent and play him opposite someone like Fiala.

The trade as it stands is a non-starter.

Wild say no.

Whoa whoa whoa. I was the first one to admit this is a terrible deal for the wild but in no way is Fiala better than Nylander, he is cheaper yes. He is productive yes. Might he be a better value contract wise? Right now yes but he's not better than Nylander c'mon now

I'm really worried about you if you think Wild even listens to that offer.

Oh yeah, I forgot.....

Beckman is still probably 3-4 years away from the NHL.

What have you been smoking?

Ok that’s fine. I didn’t say it was a good trade for you either.

Maybe not. I can sometimes be wrong. Love Fiala though.

He's definitely moving towards Nylander I'll give him that.
