Yeah I didn't think that was a great trade but I figured the leafs needed more defense and I needed to trade Pateryn somewhere lol

Wild aren't looking to sign Hoffman or anyone of that caliber

I don’t see how the wild get better other than picking up Cirelli. Not to mention we give up a possible lottery pick (you insinuated as much) for a lesser Dumba. Finally, goaltending is still atrocious so I’m not sure how we contend with this lineup.

Here's everything you need to know about the TB trade. If they had 8+ mil in cap room they'd sign Cirelli themselves...

Wait, so we give a potential top 5 pick for a player (& pick) who is nowhere near worth that value or at a position of significant need? Cool

yeah, when I was looking at the team before I made this trade I felt we need another defenseman to really make the top 4 a good one. and Rasmus was the only one I could find that at least was a little bit realistic. I get that trading a top 5 pick would be a big deal but this situation this was if the wild went all in for next year.

would Buffalo still accept that trade if the pick was more in the teens? to make the trade more even in value

What leads you to believe PIT’s pick is going to be top 5?

idk if I'm gonna be honest. most of their big players are all starting to get old maybe they hit a big regression, Not saying I expect this to happen tho.

Hard no on cirelli. I want him but they aren’t taking on a dumba for him. Tb would only take a jee and 1st type package cause they need a new 3rd line center who’s cheap. Maybe sturm, Addison and our 1st or something but they can’t take a big contract.

Ristolainen is probably available for a 2nd round pick right now.

My bet is on them not making the playoffs next year.
