This team looks very top heavy. I think youd be better off targeting a backup/timeshare goalie and another LHD before adding a forward like Hall

Seems solid. Sign a couple veteran RHD who can start in Hershey, though. Schmaltz? Ceci? Whoever.

Fehervary and Honka is an extremely green third pair. Most coaches won't give them more than 14 minutes a night, leaving everyone else with an average of 23 or so (occasional overtimes balance out with Ovechkin playing power play point for a few minutes). If Carlson is injured for a week, the team ends up with, what? Orlov Jensen, Siegenthaler Honka, Fehervary Lewington?

Overall, giving up two solid penalty killers just for cap space is kind of rough, but adding a recent MVP might convince Ovechkin to stick around a bit, and if so, there's a pretty good chance it adds a Cup or two to the Ovechkin era in Washington. So it might just be worth it, and the teams will be a lot of fun to cheer for, with a lot of goal scoring and offense, even if they're not as good at shutting down opponents.

Oshie gone in expansion draft, Hagelin dumped. That’s an extra 8 million in space. Easy.
