Description
The Rangers retooling will heavily depend on how they rate some of their younger players and if the are ready for a bigger role. For this senario Im going to assume that Adam Fox is going to be a top pairing d-man and that Morgan Barron will be able to play in the NHL with limited minutes

That's a no for Boston. ADA had a career year, so much of a career year that he had more points last year than he did in his first 132 GP combined. Kids going to want prime money without an indication that he's truly the player he was this past season. Carlo is also Boston's top shutdown d-man and PK horse. When Chara calls it a career, he basically takes over Chara's role (and kind of already has).

It looks like the picks you can trade start in 2021 now that the default starting season is 2020-2021.

Hes a defensive dman, he will get a solid deal around 5 - 5.5 million a year which will be FANTASTIC for the cap, and he will be happy!
We will gladly keep him, as he is the better player smile

It really would smile. i mean the Kings are paying a similar guy nearly twice that
The Sens just signed a guy with a similar skill LEVEL to a deal worth 3 million more

I mean hell the Blues are paying the same guy a million more

Chabot is a similar LEVEL of skill, though he is much much more offensive.
Carlo is an excellent Shut Down Defender though.

I get that hes not as good dude, dont worry, but to say Carlo isnt worth 5.5 mil is wrong lol gotta use extremes to teach people sometimes

Carlo will sign a deal similar to Pesce except cap was lower when Pesce signed it so 5-5.5 is pretty spot on

I mean the guy was saying that the Bruins trade is terrible for the Rangers (which is laughable), and that Carlo isnt worth 5 mil. So like sometimes to help uneducated people learn i gotta go to extremes lol
But yeah 5 - 5.5 is my range for him, and we will be very happy with that
