The Arizona trade is the only one the Rangers really consider, but most people on here probably think we're not paying enough.

You'll have to pay significantly more than that for the Kings to take Smith.

That's a no from Tampa. They moved ADA for a reason and he's not as good as Sergy. There's no really cap saving here either. Sergy plays well on the right side and really well on the pp until.

Plus they don't need to replace Shatty because the Rangers are still paying him not to play so he'll sign on the cheap again. :-P

Coyotes dont even come close to considering that trade, Only 2 pieces of interest are Hajek and the 22nd Overall pick but that doesnt even get you Chychrun , the rest is a bunch of throw in's like in an NHL 20 trade

The old 7-for-2 trade. When was the last time there was a trade with 7 pieces going one way and 2 or fewer going the other way? (Props to anyone who answers correctly)

Also...NYR would need to add to Sergachev deal. Probably 2021 1st and Nils Lundqvist, K’andre Miller level prospect.

yeah I'm not sure what direction Arizona is trying to go in since they're losing money as a franchise but also have about 20 mil tied up in replacement level players. They might very well in a position similar to Florida internally where they want to cut salary. Not sure if they want to do a rebuild or go for it but frankly they're not in a great position to do either. And the rumors about hiring Pierre aren't exactly helping,

As long as BriseBois is the GM of the Lightning then Anthony DeAngelo will never be a player for the Lightning. Look up my post history to see the reasoning, too tired to type it again.

Technically the EK65 trade coulda been 8 pieces for 2, but after conditions it wound up being 7 for 2. Fwiw I agree with other people here that TBL doesn't want/can't afford ADA and that he's much worse than Sergachev anyway. I had his value pegged at Lundkvist+CAR 2020 1st in an ACGM I made recently, I think that's a reasonable return if they elect to deal him.

I have wondered if Shatty would take another 1 year cheap deal with Tampa because he will be getting $6M from the Rangers. But then if someone is willing to pay him big bucks now after this season at his age he would have to look at that.

True. I kinda get a "I wanna win" vibe, but I wouldn't be surprised either way.
