Blues are not using Dunn as a cap dump asset.

If Dunn is that cheap, St. Louis will just keep him and use another trading chip to get rid of Steen. Even if Dunn gets 3.5mil, they aren't gonna trade him

Wow, really interesting but I think Habs have to keep Danault.
Domi + what for the 10th? I literally just made a post.

Any trade for Danault includes one of Laine or Ehlers (other stuff would be included from both sides)

We need to move danault now for value. 10 is great value. Draft Quinn

I doubt the Blues give up Dunn to dump Steen's contract and Winnipeg isn't giving up 10OA for a rental.

how is ehlers or laine not value? they are better value than the 10th, who ever is drafted at 10 isnt cracking an nhl line up next season.

That may be possible. He's got a hefty contract, but it is only for a year.

If you want ehlers it takes danault extended, Domi and brook+2nd lol. If you want Laine it takes Danault extended, Domi, Caufield and 1st. The asking prices for Laine and ehlers are insanely high lol. In no world are you even getting close to Laine an ehlers without including an overvaluing package.

And wpg can try him as 2C (of course he best in 3 C role now)

Your not getting laine. Ehlers might be available but he’s okay. We aren’t that close to the cup

    10 is great value, agreed.
However, were not winning games without Danault.
We need somebody to stop the opposition's top players.

Yeah, I think he could be a plan B kind of guy if the Jets can't find a full time young 2C. As you say Bozak is best as a 3C, but could fill in at 2C if need be.

I agree that any deal involving laine involves caufield thats fine and fair but you would get 1 of danault or domi not both.

IMO we can be moving Roslovic or Vesalainen to acquire that 2C. All this smoke around Laine/Ehlers is just to figure out which teams want a top 6 winger and then to change the conversation to Roslovic for the part of the trade that we actually wanted.

So for example Roslovic + Niku for Domi.

I'd prefer Cirelli or Strome over Domi though, so hopefully a different option works out before we'd need to consider a trade with the Habs for Domi.

Danault isn’t staying long term so... trade him now for value (pick 10) kk and danault get ice time and develop properly

In first round he has in 1 line a one or two games and he was in my opinion he was ok.
