Why does everyone want to trade Murphy. He's much more valuable than people give him credit for. He's a top 4 at the premium side and his advanced stats are really good.

Toronto doesn't answer. If were trading Nylander we need a top 2 or top 4 RHD. And Hyman isn't going anywhere

Murphy is a top RHD, I messed up, I think this trade will also involve the 17th overall pick instead of the 2nd and 3rd

Yeah but he's not what we want for Nylander. We need someone under control and not that old. We don't need forward and someone who will get paid depending on next yr and we don't need that as the main piece back. Murphy is good but just not what I want for him and most leafs fan would want for him

Murphy is a good 2nd pairing RD. The Leafs want/need a #1 guy. Nylander gets you a #1 guy and Murphy is not that guy.
