Like what else? I thought maybe including either Klefbom or Nurse but thought that was an overpayment. AZ is trying to shed payroll and acquire draft picks. Russell works well because he’s only owed $1.5 million. They are the financially strapped club that has to move money. Edmonton could agree to pay OEL’s signing bonus since AZ failed to do so OR it was super late. Samorukov is going to be an NHL D very soon.

That OEL/Kuemper offer might get you Oliver but definitely not Kuemper

Kuemper is worth a 1st and atleast one to two more assets , OEL would likley get a 1st and or a top 6 winger/center along with a prospect or another pick and a contract coming back to even the salaries a bit more

I’d say the Oilers could get j OEL w that package, so I’d say Kuemper is worth a 1st and a bit more. Maybe add in Bear and a 3rd and hope Bouchard is ready? Or another 1st would do. I don’t know at that point though if Edmonton would wanna Trade all those assets

I re-did the trade. 3rd next year conditional upon AA getting X number of points etc. Upgrades to a 2nd if so.
