Doesn't get you Ehlers imo. Also how is Verbeek? I think CBJ would tell you to just keep Belzile

Thank you God for not including Laine. Habs fans trading for Laine is as tiring as Pens fans dumping JJ or the Leafs signing Petro

Yeah that’s an odd one especially when Bergevin thinks his number 16 OA pick won’t be much changed from whom they thought they were taking at 8th overall.

It’s overkill for Ehlers. People throw around 2nd rounders like they are worthless when this is a deep draft. The Rangers just got out of a bad contract for a 2nd rounder.

Two years of Domi, two bottom pairing defenseman and a couple is meh picks don't get you Ehlers.

I like Verbeek because he skates like the wind, but he’ll be at best a 3rd liner in the AHL, that’s is ceiling

Meh picks that can get you out from underneath bad contracts. Sure absolutely worthless

So, the Jets should trade Ehlers to get a few meh picks to bail themselves out of bad contacts they don't have? That is some real of bad asset management there. tears of joy smh.

lol. Dont worry Montreal wont be giving up a 2nd line center that finished 6th in the Selke voting for a marginally better pick. hahaha

Yeah I don't see it for Montreal either. Sounds like a bad deal all around.

funny it is so easier to make a dumb trade ... montreal can stand pat you know... just sign domi and mete and with the new additions we will make the playoffs and then you will know if Danault will re-sign or not and you trade him if you can't sign him and if you can sign him then you trade either Domi or tatar at the deadline before next year cap crunch comes..... we don't need help from any other teams at all.

Seriously. Montreal has over 35 million in cap space for 2021. 4 picks in top 2 rounds this year. An owner that is more profitable than ever with beer sales through the roof during the pandemic. They might have absolutely the best situation in the NHL yet people think they are desperate to offload Selke finalists like Danault.

I know, we are one of the few teams that will spend to the cap.. many other owners in the US are in trouble with their business and will inflict an internal cap on their teams.. which will cause their to be less bidding on all UFA this off-season.... I mean Pietro and hall will get their money but not a crazy amount..

I don't think most people think they're desperate to offload Danault, but being included in every Canadiens thread and proposal isn't helping the situation.

Meaningless. Kreider was included in every trade proposal before he was signed long term. Montreal and Toronto fans cant wait to trade their own players. The real fans love Danault
