Description
My gut is that if the Preds haven't pulled the trigger on a buyout for Turris yet they still think a trade is possible or they will offer an additional pick to Seattle next year to take him.

Might as well trade off some aging assets with good contracts and short term left for additional picks in a deep draft class to set us up for another push in 2 to 3 years.

You can get more for Ekholm. But targeting 1st rounders in the upcoming draft isn't a bad idea. If NSH is able to add 3 of Jarvis, Askarov, Quinn, Lundell, Schneider, or Amirov (I could list more, there are so many options) then they are in good shape and just restocked their prospect pipeline.

Bonino isn’t worth a first and a high defensive prospect. Can’t see the Panthers interested in this

That's selling Ekholm low. With a flat cap and cheap 2 years left, he'll fetch more.

Also with the possibility of a flat cap, I cannot see them spending to the cap this season.

Can't see anyone giving up a first for bonino even if they're getting a 2nd back

If Barclay Goodrow can fetch a first there is no way Bonino can't. He's been the most consistent player for the Preds the last two years and has been dynamite on the PK.

Goodrow makes less than a mil and is younger. No one is giving up a first for bonino
