Next year, they sign a backup for shesterkin. they use andersen this year to develop shesterkin for one last year, splitting the games btwn the 2. If andersen does not extend (it's likely he doesn't extend), the leafs send their 2021 3rd rd pk acquired in the VAN trade.

For real though, Murray's asking price is either a mid-late 1st (around #22), OR a early/mid-2nd (NSH's is 11th in the 2nd, so 42nd overall) and some decent prospects. Didn't want to give up the 1st, so I went w the second option.

Rangers say no, which leads to Vancouver saying no, which leads to Carolina saying no and I doubt Pittsburgh says yes to that.

One year of Freddie Andersen isn't worth a first-round pick in this year's draft.

De Melo gets twice that, both in money and in term.

Los Angeles won't be trading that particular pick back to Toronto until Kyle Clifford signs somewhere else. And the compensation for moving the pick back a year will be substantially more than a seventh-round pick in next year's draft.

Trade 1: Or they could keep their young goalie tandem since Shesty is expansion exempt.

Trade 2: Last thing Nashville needs is centers.

Trade 3: A 4th liner and a bottom pairing RD is not worth a 2nd.

Trade 4: Lmao what? You can figure out this one on your own.

Trade 5: Canes should accept but like you dont get Virtanen so they cant.

yea, only way the canucks trade boeser to TOR is if Reilly is coming back. don't want to trade Reilly? then don't ask for Boeser
