I love the McAvoy trade because if Boston trades him they burn the city to the ground.

Hawks aren't moving Boqvist, way too much upside and on a ELC and while we would love McAvoy in his place, Kase is too big of a downgrade from Debrincat.

I’ve always wanted the city of Boston to burn wink , I don’t like the Red Sox or the Patriots or the Celtics

But McAvoy is the best player in this trade by quite a bit

Bahahahaha Bahahahaha haha. Boqvist at his absolute best, is a fraction of McAvoys worst when he was in college.

Bruins aren't moving McAvoy. Don't get this started because if one ACGM has it, everyone will do it

And no CHI player is close to his value so

Don't disagree that McAvoy is the best player in the trade and no debate, but Boqvist is way too hot of a prospect at 19 years old and on ELC that's invaluable. Then you add a big downgrade from Debrincat to Kase and the trade just won't happen. McAvoy is amazing don't get me wrong, but we don't clearly know what we have in Boqvist yet and some compare him to EK as his upside.

You know this, but the correct adjective is “dumb,” not insane. I think this ACGM is kinda trolly, so I’ll just leave it there. You know this is a franchise killer.

Boqvist is 19 years old buddy, give me a break. McAvoy is great, but for you or anyone to pretend what you know Boqvist will look like in 3 to 5 years, is a fool's errand. His comparable is EK, whether he gets there is another story but the point is nobody knows.

Chicago makes this trade, Sweeney is fired before the sun sets.

We'd be better of keeping Boqvist and moving Debrincat to Anaheim for Lindholm and 2nd and creating a top pair with Boqvist and Lindholm. That fills a big need for us. McAvoy for Boqvist 1 for 1 all day long but the hole on the #1 left side still exists and Debrincat for Kase is a big downgrade so we don't gain nearly as much as you are suggesting.

I'd take Ritchie for a 6th or 7th rounder, can you imagine Ritchie/Khaira/Kassian crashing the net hard and pissing off the other team throughout a whole game? Hahahaha

Don't disagree with that one bit, but again, doesn't solve our number one need for a #1LHD (we have zero in the pipeline) and we just got a lot worse upfront in the process.

Boston fans may not like it but this trade is fair. Debrincat is 22 and just scored 41 goals and 76 points last year and Boqvist is a great prospect. McAvoy is for sure the best player in this deal but Kase is also the worst piece in this deal. With that said, I'd say both teams decline

You could probably put anyone next to McAvoy and it would be an elite first pairing

That’s been my thought process about Ritchie I’d really like to add him. Would not acquire him for this reason by any means but I’m also interested in the possibility of him replacing kass physical presence next to mcdavid which would open the RW side for a skill guy like JP. He’s the type of under the radar guy very much like maroon was.

I like Ritchie, always have, but I firmly believe the best he'll become is a 3rd line winger, which isn't bad if you ask me, 3rd line guys do put up a lot of minutes, he'd make a really good penalty killer on the team, I'd like to acquire the guy if put on waiver wire, he does have just as much talent as Kas, but I still wouldn't let go of Kas just because we could get Ritchie

OILERS FOR LIFE BRO

Just felt like closing out my comment with that, haha

Package any three players on the hawks for mcavoy and you’re stealing.

(Kane, Kubalik, Dach), (Boqvist, Dach, Debrincat), (Boqvist, Dach, Kubalik)...do you want me to keep going? Dude, let gravity pull you down to reality. McAvoy is great, but he's not McDavid

@ChiHawk I agree with your take here. I love Mcavoy but turning debrincat into Kase is a huge downgrade that makes the deal not worth it.

The wrong side of 30, or unproven youngsters won’t get a 22 year old that just spent the last three seasons as a legit all situation number one d man for a cup contender. Those guys don’t get moved for a reason.

Kane's Post 30 career will most likely be twice as good as McAvoy's entire career. He already has a 3rd place for Art Ross and a 2nd place for Lindsay...
