CBJ needs quality over quantity, and NYR could actually be a good trading partner. I think that's a trade that benefits both teams, actually.

I don't dislike McDonagh coming back either - it might be a wise move for Tampa too, and he might come even cheaper if they struggle with cap space.

The Nashville trade I don't ever see happening.

Can't see NSH moving on from Bonino, Turris, and Johansen in the same off-season.

After divesting themselves of Bonino, Turris, and Blackwell, NSH likely isn't trading another center.

I don't really understand why any team would help out Tampa if they weren't getting additional assets back. It would make more sense to me to try and offersheet one of their guys and put them on their heels a little bit.

The CBJ trade is interesting. They definitely need to continue to add offense but I’d hate to see Boone go. I’m 50/50 on it.

As much as I love Mc Donough .. trades like this would help both teams.

Knowledgeable hockey fans know the value Mc Donough brings .. top 5 in NHL stay at home D, plays against opponent 1st line, PK, lots of ice time gobbled up .. and the leadership .. just work hard, team first and grind it out.. he makes Hedmen and Serg 2X more effective .. Hedmen gets more rest and PP .. while Serg has been "protected" D wise while he develops.

With that said .. we got cap issues and they are WORSE next year with Colemen amd Goodrow up .. Mc Donough has t more solid years as is typical with a D first D .. so if not this year.. next for sure to maximize value
