they are listening on stamkos (reported) but unfortunately for these teams up against the cap like TB- u aint getting half of what u think for these guys ---even if you eat half the contracts... even the teams that have room have to assume a flat cap for next 2 myb 3 years and consider where they have to sign all their RFAs that will be coming due. Gonna be a real interesting show as this unravels... I think Seattles gonna have a feast when expansion kicks in and they take in all these deals for picks!

Stamkos has the same, and more, protection as anyone else on the team with a NTC. The likelihood of him waiving a NMC is none. And as you said yourself, nobody has the cap space to take him on at any team he would consider going to. He's not leaving and I doubt anyone in the organization has the audacity to ask him to waive his NMC.

So no reputable rumors aside from the fact he isn't on the GM's "untouchable" list, which does not mean much in itself while he has a NMC.

NTC and NMC clauses mean nothing .. and less for next couple years in flat cap .. Tampa GM specifically said Stamkos is not part of untouchable core.. nor should he .. and JBB hasnt even corrected that statement.. birdie tells me he fielding calls on Stamkos and Mc Donough but as pointed out above .. not many teams have space .. TJ trade should be announced b4 weekend done

Yeah, he's not going anywhere. All that untouchable crap meant that if there was such an amazing deal offered that bowled Brisebois over, the Lightning literally had no other options, and Stamkos agreed to leave what he himself called the best hockey city there is, then sure, he could be moved. Sounds very realistic lol. The "reported" offers have been laughable at best, Compher, Jost, and Byram for a guy who hit 98 last year and was on pace for~95 this year, yeah, no.

Sounds like it actually may have happened though. A Lightning reporter asked Stamkos about not being on the untouchable list, and it sounded to me as he politely said "I'm not ******* going anywhere".
