No from Flames

Johnsson is just a less physical, more expensive 4th liner winger on NYR

you forgot Dermott.

Maroon wouldn't be on LTIR.

Slightly underpaid Mikheyev.

Overpaid Hamonic.

Highly overpositioned Lemieux.

... better solution if this is the type of team you'd want is to keep Kerfoot at 3C, move Dermott for Bennett straight up instead. Drop the Hamonic signing. And bring in a cheaper vet for 1 year to play with Rielly until they can go after Hamilton next off-season

lol you are very quick to comment on these.

Yes from flames, if I add in a pick. Flames need to sign defensemen and are cap-strapped. Holl is a possible cheaper solution, and kerfoot is speedy with an edge.

Johnsson is not just a less physically 4th liner. He is definitely a 3rd liner and adds depth to a second line (possibly a first if injuries).

So the Canucks didn't even want to QO Stettcher but somehow his is better value at 3.1m than the Leafs best RHD last season 2m Holl. An overpay for the now the middling 4.1m Manson. Lot better value available than spending 11.7m on Hamonic, Manson and Stetcher
Need a true centre Kerfoot rather than Bennett.

Ryminister_27▾ good points.

(a) I just stuck maroon in LTIR in case the trade for Lemieux didn't work out
(b) I think we need to move on from demott... perhaps package him in one of the trades?
(c) I will bump up Mikheyev and try to get a cheaper RD for Rielly
(d) And good point with Keeping Kerfoot and then trading Dermott instead! Especially if the Brendan trade works out.

Thanks!!

palhal, the canucks REALLY wanted Stecher, but because he had arbitration rights and the other great players they need to sign, they couldn't afford him.

I'm trying to toughen up this team while still retaining some skill. While Kerfoot is small and skilled and tough, the leafs HAVE to get bigger. They have enough of skill on the top two lines. Bennett is a beast. But if we get Wayne and Brendan, okay with keeping Kerfoot on that third line.

The last thing the Rangers need is another left winger. Johnson would be on the 4th line in NY.

Yeah, he'll do that *eye roll* the MVP of posting instant negative comments that are super confident but sloppily ignore key details

Oh wait that's like everyone on here

Oddly the Flames trade isn't there anymore

haha yeah, I've kinda noticed that with him.

I've added the trade back. Thinking of a way to do a straight Dermott/Bennett Trade and then finding another trade for Kerfoot and Holl to get a bit more value back. Perhaps Kerfoot/Holl/PIck for David Savard?

The Lemieux trade wouldn’t happen. Rangers would only be interested in a top C or Muzzin from the leafs. If this is a non starter then send AJ elsewhere. Sometimes it’s ideal to know who you’re sending your players to, then you know their needs and won’t get this kind of push back. Rangers have too much winger depth. It’s irrelevant what a player is worth in a market when you’re sending him to a team and who doesn’t value him.

Yeah you're right. I've changed things up a bit... I know Columbus need some winger depth, so I think they'd want Andreas a bit more.
