I don’t think the pens do that for two reasons. 1. They are attempting to get every 7th round pick this year and 2. ZAR is needed more than Micheyev. Would be a waste to get micheyev to plop on the fourth line since we have Guentzel, Zucker, McCann ahead of him.

why would the leafs trade a better defender and a useful forward for a guy they traded because he was too bad to make the marlies?
And Bowey is really really really bad. Holl is 100x better

Trading away Holl for Bowey is a major downgrade, and if they're doing that, they're not trading Dermott.

Marincin is in the AHL, he's a write off. No need to trade.

Engvall will probably be sold cheap on his own or just remain on the roster. Rosen is the same as Marincin: AHL. Harpur couldn't crack a shallow Leafs roster last season so I don't know why you're bringing him back.

Mikheyev stays. They're a little flimsy for offensive talent on the left side, especially if Robertson doesn't make the cut. Sure, ZAR is good defensively but not for Mikheyev.

I don't understand the Los Angeles trade.

Lastly, I'd be cool without Thornton personally.

What I want to know is that what part of “the jets don’t want holl” do leafs fans not get. At least we don’t right now.

That mikheyev trade is really bad IMO. I actually think he's a solid third liner arguably second liner when he's going. Also just too many moves. I think Dubas has 1 maybe 2 more trades coming before the season starts. Not 5

I do think Thornton is EXACTLY what this team needs tho. just at a reasonable 1 year. Whip the kids into pros.

Mikheyev is the same thing in PIT as he is in TOR.
    A future cap casualty.
    For that reason penguins decline.

Neither team will be able to afford him if he turns into a 20 goal guy.
