winnipeg probably rejects and you're on a 20 man roster. Also Bergy has already said he won't make moves and that we'll have a 22 man roster

If this waa a must have for the habs and the jets werent interested in moving Laine then i agree thats the type of offer that would be needed to land him. But if jets are getting anywhere near that for offers right now Laine would have already been dealt

????? The cap doesn't even work this year...a 20 man roster. Then to pay Laine more, Petry's and Gallagher new contracts. Sure would like to see a post of 21/22 roster

The Caufield idea doesn't do much for me as a Jets fan, he's tiny and the Jets are already too small across the entire lineup and he has no contract yet, he could pull a Fox and dictate where he wants to go and then you're just trading him at likely a loss.

Laine starts with 1 of Kotkaniemi or Romanov and a 1st. Not the depth prospects that may or may not have a long term impact
