What a dumb idea. Lets take all the depth we now have and move it for 2 players one of which has been on a huge decline. What happens if we have injury again?

Sure, the Devils will trade Subban and retain 4.5M for the next 2 years, trade arguable their best goal scorer in Palmieri and retain 3M, all of this to acquire a 3rd line C, A bottom 6 winger, 2 bottom pairing D and a backup Goalie. Makes a lot of sense. (It doesn't).

Soooooo, Kerfoot was drafted by the Devils but refused to play for us and stayed an extra year in college to control his destiny and sign with the Avs. He burnt his bridge and we are never taking him back. Palms is a 30 goal scorer on a dreadful team and commands a 1 and PK provides the Devils with more off the ice than on. Nothing about this deal makes any sense.

I kind of like it with all those players in NJ they won't be able to force them on Detroit and expecting 2nds and 3rds in return.
