decent offer but Kane isn't getting traded. Hawks don't want vorachek but I get that you did that for cap purposes

That's the best offer I've seen for Kane yet on here.

there would have to be a 5 mill ish player coming back in any trade for a 10 mill player

I'm not sure the difference between kane and voracek is Sanheim, your young affordable #4 dman, your top forward prospect and a 1st. (especially since PHI wouldn't part with that package for Laine). If I'm CHI I take that in a second

If anything it adds a player at a position we don't lack and cant afford and creates a huge problem on defense, (unless you actually think Ghost is still a top 4 player in AV's Philly)

Maybe if it was Ghost and not Sanheim.

My thought behind this is we have Zamula and York waiting in the wings to take another LHD roster spot. If Ghost has a good rebound season, great, but right now he's not worth enough to package in a deal like this.

You really think we lack a top forward when we have lindblom and Patrick healthy and frost waiting his callup? Right now your bottom 6 forwards are JVR, Patrick, Frost, Farabee, Laughton, NAK, and Raffl, that's not enough minutes for some very good offensive players.

    We need a 31 year 10.5mil a year forward?

Zamula and York are not waiting in the wings yet, and you're talking about a defense that lost its number 2 dman, and now you're dealing its number 4? Even with Gustafsson you are creating huge holes in the lineup to acquire at a position where you have a surplus. I like Ghost and think he has value, but not in PHI and not in AV's system.

Hell if I'm rebuilding CHI I think about Kane for Ghost, Frost, a 1st and a bit more.

I would rather it be a cap dump that adds value to the hawks side than an aging player with perceived positive value still is what I'm saying. And also a contract that expires in the next 1-3 years max
