Description
Swapping of RFA's - not sure if the valuation is correct - but I think it may be. Chara wants to come back, however with the pandemic raging in the USA, I think he waits until later in the year (assuming their is hockey next year) and signs with the B's for their Cup run. Baptism of fire for both Zboril and Vaak and to a certain extent, Dunn as well. Offense should be fine however upon the return of Marshy and Pasta.

i just dont think theyd be in on debrusk so im not sure what the value would be like for the blues

I like dunn. I like dunn alot, but i also love not having 2 small dmen as part of our top 6. Bruins dont need dunn as much as they need debrusk. which is going to throw valuations all over the place. They will either use mcavoy or grz to qb pp1 and whoever does it will succeed. I have zero doubts about this. bruins need top 6 forward talent. they will be fine on defense unless one of the rookies sinks instead of swims.

I know his skating throws people off, but Dunn is 6-ft 205. And he will throw some weight around when necessary.

he just plays smaller than that. I just watched the tampa bay lightning and st louis blue in back to back years have their way with the bruins defense. I want some bigger heavier additions if that makes sense. i dont want to simply replace krug but grz is 5'9 175. zboril is 6'0 201, vaak is 6'2 185. I want someone 6'2 230 ish.

Did you hate having Krug and Gryz? Both are smaller than Dunn.

Just because he's usually seen swashbuckling around with the puck, it doesn't mean he plays small. He doesn't play small. But yeah, if you want a big ol' monster back there, he falls short of that kind of size.

And just because someone is huge doesn't mean they play "big". Parayko is a great defenseman, but he arguably plays "small" because he uses his reach and speed more compared to grit.

yes. i like grz more than krug because grz plays bigger than 5'9 where krug plays his size.
