Honestly Eakins is better than Zajac at this point in his career at 40% of the salary so this move would not help the Sabres

We got a second for greene who was making 5 million. If we retain 50% of Zajac's contract, we could get a good return for him.

I don't think so in this economic environment. Why trade assets for an old 3C at best when you could sign someone like AA, Granlund, or Kahun for free?

Zajac is a fine player, still has complete game. Not playing top-6. Does all the little things well.
But not a cap dump. NJD is happy keeping him at his salary.
