Lou will be paying 30 year olds. Probably Martin, Greene, Schneider (still not officially signed) and Brassard. But with the market the way it is all should sign for the minimum and Schneider will be AHL.

Exactly. Signing Zaitsev to 7 years for $4.5 million and paying a 37 year old Marleau to $6 million for 3 years is not getting you the GM of the Year award.

We did, but a total screw up when he paid his 30+ year-olds as if they are in their primes. Acquiring veteran presence should not be ignored, but when you pay them as star players, that is where the problem lies.

Like jg? We're very happy with lou thanks. It seems like every leafs fan tries to blame their mediocrity on everything but the fact that their players arent as good as they think they are. Maybe you could get draisaitl and mcdavid for marner. Youll have to clear space but its a good deal no? Then you could deal tavares for mackinnon and draisaitl for pasternak and marchand.
