I think anyone would take the money if offered to them, I don't know that you can call that greedy. Tavares took 11 to "go home" but it was offered so why wouldn't a player say yes

you see, players, who literally are the product and generate all the revenue with their skills are greedy for wanting to be paid fairly. It is the poor billionaire owners who suppress those wages for their own profits who are the victims

This is pretty much the textbook case as to why you should never ever take less than you're worth. Both McDavid and the oilers would have been better off had he just taken the offered contract instead of giving some back.

I don't agree. There really isn't much of a difference between, say, 14 million and 12.5 million. If I were McDavid, I would have done the same. His team has the potential to improve.
