Drouin for Niederreiter is pretty even
Suzuki for a third is questionable, although I can’t say much because I don’t know much about the value of Ryan Suzuki. But giving the right circumstances I could see this trade going through. It depends if Drouin finally finds his touch tho, if he does he could be very valuable for MTL. And with the signings of Anderson and Toffoli I think that Drouin will be better.

I was thinking the Suzuki would be the main piece that Montreal would be interested in. I added nino because the canes would need to move money out

It also depends on the kind of season that Nino has but I like the idea and just Drouin and a 3rd for Suzuki could be a trade made at the deadline

Yeah I wouldn’t hate that either. I think drouin could be a nice fit for the canes on the second line

But with the cap space that they have idk if they could pull it off.

Absolutely not. Drouin has shown a lot of promise, and he absolutely isn’t getting traded.

Any chance you could elaborate a little more? I believe you have been the only one who has said that the trade is not close, so I would like to hear ur perspective of why.

The trade is good value, but Bergevin isn’t trading Drouin, he said he’s more mature now and he’s expecting bigger things from him next year. He was good with Suzuki during the playoffs ( small sample tho ), but he’s still a guy who brings us 50 points. Hopefully he brakes out with Suzuki and Anderson or Toffoli next year. But the value is there

I’m not saying the trade isn’t close to fair value, just that the habs aren’t interested. Mostly because I’m sure that the organization and myself both see more in Drouin than what his trade value might be throughout the league.

As MTL fan, I would make that trade in a heartbeat.

A heavy 20G/50pts LW is exactly what we need. 2 years is the perfect term.

Reuniting the Suzuki's brothers would be as smart as the Sedin's brothers and would be the teams core for the next 15 years.

Drouin is a price Im willing to pay. The guy still was upside, but he didnt improve in 3 full years in MTL.
