The sharks can’t expose Karlsson......and it makes no sense to keep burns but not Karlsson lmfao. I’d rather lose burns 9.9/10 to Seattle than Karlsson. Karlsson is still very good and better than burns even while injured Karlsson has outperformed him. Burns still provides offensive production but defensively he fell off a cliff this past season while Karlsson has outperformed him offensively and played very solid defensively especially compared to burns.

The leafs also laugh at that offer. Sorensen is lighting up the 2nd tier Swedish league. It’s cool and impressive but nothing to write home about seeing as it is; a second tier league in an already weaker league system compared to others like the AHL and KHL. Maybe Sorensen could return a second if we’re like lucky and he plays well by TDL

Yeah. Lots of quality points here. Sorenson also at 'Jagr in the 90s' type TOI (23:06 per game) there.

Are you seriously suggesting they should leave a 30 year old HOFer unprotected for an expansion draft (doesn't have a crazy bad contract or anything either)

    flushed cheeks

Whether you like it or not he's getting in easily

Karlsson is entering the season the healthiest he has been in years. He has a NMC. I won't be shocked if he wins another Norris in the coming years.

whatever you posted above I see it being a good move to let Karlsson go

it has not been the same player since leaving Ottawa

Sharks made a mistake to sign him for that monstrous sum while already paying fortune for Burns + Vlasic

he may waive his NMC and in my opinion he also should

Sharks era is gone, Seattle is the future and perhaps the only team which can afford to eat his 11 M dollars without moving contract(s) the other way back

Karlsson won’t be traded as no one wants that contract, Bit defensively I watched Karlsson stand next to the net a d watch 15-20 goals scored on him with zero effort from him he is a horrible defensive player. Worse than burns by a lot!!!

random opinion by a random dude on cf
Random video by a literal random on youtube (on a single game btw?? That’s a useless video, using a single game to rate a player means I’ll find a bad Mcdavid game and say he’s a worse player than we’re led to believe... see it doesn’t make much sense).
= you don’t swing my opinion at all

Karlsson is a OFD you do realize that doesn’t say DFD. If you’re watching sharks games he’s obviously making mistakes but he usually makes up those mistakes by making equal to or more good plays. That’s life with OFD. The fact you think he’s worse than burns means you’re just being subjective as burns statistically was basically worthless defensively. Karlsson was very valuable. And Karlsson was better overall.

And with the eye test if we’re not using stats I saw the same information this year. Both guys blunder defensively. Burns does it more and overall plays worse. And is outplayed offensively. Doesn’t mean things can’t change this year/ they both play really well: it’s possible. It just sounds like a bias.
