Not particularly a fan of that return for the wild. Just thin Johansson is really overpaid and in another year or 2 playing top 6 role with offensive players, jee will put up similar numbers.

honestly, this value is hella enticing

arvidsson fills the top 6 hole reasonably well, dante fabbro would be a solid young RD addition, jarnkrok is a solid bottom 6er, and the first would likely be a welcome addition to our prospect pool

I'd take this if I'm the leafs lol, not sure nashville would though

Yeah, pretty sure Nashville says not a chance; not with Marner's contract at that cap hit

the cap implications of this for the leafs is incredible. Giving up a good player but probably a good long term move

Oh, Nashville would do this in a heartbeat if they could make the Johansen trade. Johansen is owed $32 million for the last 4 years of his contract and is 33 at the end of it. Marner is owed $34,358,000 and is 28 at the end of it.

Center depth like that would make the Preds wish they still had Turris. NSH passes on both trades, and all the UFA signings.

So change out 9 of the forwards in one season? I don't know about that one...

1) Trading Fabbro makes Nashville have no young high ceiling Dmen under contract (Farrance isn't signed)
2) Marner gets 20-30 goals but nets alot of assists.... i don't see him getting near the points he does now with those linemates. He's not sitting on Matthew's or Tavares' wing.
3) Marcus Johnasson hasn't gotten over 20G since 16-17 season. I don't really see a point to him being here.
4) Palmieri is a good add but 6M for a player that gets injured almost every season and has only averaged 57 point (per 82 game pace) over the past 3 seasons seems rich.
5) Skip the JEE trade and Bonino signing. I don't think MIN would do that as they're going for a younger team with patchwork Cs that can be traded at the deadline to help further a rebuild. With Johansen, Bonino is not needed. Beyond that, we've tried him at 2C in the past and it didn't pan out and caused the Turris trade.
6) No need to replace the bottom 6 with all the signings
