Unless they're taking Eriksson back and even still i doubt they do it. Hoglander is looking like a stud right now.

Moving Ekman-Larsson just isn't the move. Especially if you want to be somewhat decent. And I'm not even gonna mention Kessel

Yeah I was thinking that too, or both of Roussel and Beagle, if I was Van and trading a 1st and Hoglander for OEL I'd want Arizona to take some two year cap dumps, even then though idk if it's worth it to part with Hoglander and a 1st, don't think Van's defense really needs OEL.

didn't we go through the whole OEL trade already just before FA? he has a NMC so not going anywhere,
also VAN declines, no cap space and they are not giving up picks and prospects for a cap dump. OEL is good, but the term on that contract is an anchor

They're basically broke and they owe OEL $54M. And he isn't that great anymore... if I was GM I'd jump at that deal. I'm 100% sure VCR doesn't do it though - even if they had the cap space, which they don't.

Had Vancouver be willing to give that much for OEL that trade would have gone through already the Canucks decline, Eriksson would have to be going the other way for a conversation to start

Oh man did the Canucks dodge a massive bullet avoiding OEL. I think his value is basically 0 given his contract and decline in play.

VAN is not moving Hoglander or Podkolzin. The trade didn't go through because VAN was not willing to move one of them.
