Oilers decline however if you swap which direction that first rounder is going a case can be made.

People here are so quick to judge without being fully intellectually honest and/or replying in good faith

3 years of Dumoulin or likely 8 years of Juolevi

863k 1.5M 2.5M 2.5M 4M 4M 4M 4M roughly

The next few years are crucial for PIT with Sid/Geno still elite and that cap space could be huge. Likely isn't ideal with how good defensively Dumoulin is but is it worth contemplating and suggesting? Absolutely. As well long term gains may greatly outweigh short.
