I don't hate him at all I just think hes a little overrated right now and he will take a bit more time to develop.

No Evan Bouchard? He's not guaranteed a roster spot but is 1st in line when there's a D injury.

I was on the fence for putting him in or not and now with Klefbom out he will probably get more time to play. However i just think he won't be getting full time minutes and that is what would keep him out of Calder contention.

I agree that he needs more time to develop, but I would certainly have him over Rossi. I think long term he'll be better than most guys on the list, including Stuetzle, but right now I agree with Stuetzle being higher

Yes I agree with that aswell, I do think he will eventually be better than almost all the centres here. I just believe that he might disappoint people in his rookie year.

Depends on how they deploy him though. If he's sheltered a bit with some decent line mates and veteran presence he'll be fine.

Byfield likely will need a year or two to make his way into the NHL. Conversely, Rossi's a year away at most, and there's a decent chance he could play as soon as this year. So placing Byfield under Rossi would merely be an extension of that, as it's uncertain Byfield will even play with the Kings this year.

To be fair, neither team is going anywhere this year, so there is no immediate rush for either team to play their star prospects if neither is ready.

Hot take: Denisenko finishes as a finalist at least. Super underrated

I respect the take and partially agree. However I just see this as a possibility if he gets into Florida's top 6 (and I do believe he can)

Fair enough, but you have guys like Heinola, Bean and Smith who won't get a regular spot either.

Heinola in my opinion should make the jets top 6 and maybe even their top 4. The only way I couldn't see this happen is if the Jets decide to develop him more in the ahl but I believe he is capable to make the team. Bean has to make the canes this year and the only thing thats holding him back is how strong Carolina's blueline is. I think he can be a regular guy in their top 6 and he could push out Gardiner or Fleury. Lastly there is Smith, I did strech it a little with him but I think he could maybe get into the top 6 over Carrick or something. In my opinion he is one of the most underrated d prospects.
