I dont understand the fascination of a 43 year old defender... i just dont get why any team wants him. Hes an absolute liability in any situation other than pk. and even then, last couple years hes struggled heavily clearing pucks on pk's. I think hes gotta hang em up. hes just too slow for the game at this point. Legend but dont wanna see him out there this year, regardless of the team.

Krug and Chara walking in the same off-season -- sure, Chara is old in hockey years, but still surprised BOS didn't sign him. Interesting move by WSH.

Boston wanted him to take a lesser role and he didn't appear to want that.

i think when it comes to Chara, its more than just on ice impacts. the guy is a terrific leader, professional, and frankly a great person in the community. I agree that his time has passed him but theres value in experience especially this season

wtf are they doing? Siegenthaler should absolutely be playing.... OR maybe they are so smart they understand its a short season and the more players they have the less fatigue theyll have during the playoffs?

this is a sprint type season.... i imagine the capitals will run 8 dmen and give players a lot of rest
