Orlov isn't waiving his NTC to come here.

I could see Jarnkrok becoming available. NSH has a ton of forwards right now. No way they consider taking Pánik off your hands though.

That’s not an Yzermann move anyway

I can't see anyone giving that much for Orlov especially a rebuilding team.

The Caps are short goaltending depth in the organization. They will be looking to add non-NHL goaltending, not move out Copley.

Why would the Caps trade Orlov? Are you folks just looking at some meaningless offensive based stat that is idiotic to judge a Ds value by and figuring that he is low value? Orlov shouldn't go anywhere.

He would be the #1 D on the Red Wings.

Ok but it doesn't change anything which is no one is giving up 2 2nd round picks for him. Where Detroit is in their rebuild it's kind of ridiculous to think the give up 2 2nd for a 29 year old defenseman. Besides he'd be #2 behind Hronek.

I don't know. Panik and Jarnkrok have roughly the same g/game, a/game, and p/game. Not a big cap difference between the two. Panik adds some size/grit to an undersized squad.

I could see Jarnkrok being expendable with the amount of forwards NSH has - especially if prospects like Tolvanen, Tomasino, Pitlick are ready. Jarnkrok already feels like an odd man out, when trying to predict the lineup. I don't see the value in trading him for a similar player with an extra year on his contract, at a slightly higher cap hit.
