If the pick is lottery protected, I guess it could work. I still think trading the 2022 1st rounder is still a little risky, especially with you know who projected to go 1st overall, but more prospects will have graduated and a lot more dead weight will have been shed by then so maybe the Wings would be going for 1st overall in 2022 anyways.

That's really the only super iffy part though. I think the rest of the package works. If we knew that pick would be like later than 10, I'd say it's a pretty good offer

Wings would be much better keeping their assets including a top three pick rather than PLD. Four years of PLD control isn't worth this package from a lottery team.

I think CBJ wouldn't be looking for more help now as opposed to the future. Probably looking for a good younger player that helps right away like mantha or something

I think if its Namestnikov instead of Filppula it looks pretty decent to me, because that 1st rounder is probably gonna be pretty high

I think thats the issue for the wings, we dont really have anyone that can help them now, i tried thinking Filppula but anyone that could help them now Detroit likely cant part with IE Mantha Bertuzzi or Larkin
