Ideally a trade deadline-ish deal. Would have to occur when all of the Pens' D are healthy.

Here is how I would break down the trade:
Danault is the best player involved so I see McCann, the 2nd and the 3rd as the swap for Danault who would sign an extension. McCann has shown to be productive when playing top six minutes rather than the 3C role the Pens have tried with him.

Petterson and Rodrigues swap for Mete and Armia. Mete is younger than Pettersson but the latter is more proven but has a heftier contract. Petterson, to me, has more value than Mete so Armia is included as both a cap equalizer and a solid depth piece for the bottom six of the Pens. While Armia has been solid in Montreal from what I know, Perry has replaced him well during the former's concussion. Rodrigues is a fill in for roster space purposed but could be used as a utility player in Montreal or Laval.
