Not the price to move ADA.. NYR has already said it'll be a cheap pay or keep and buy out

A buyout for DeAngelo this summer is negligible in terms of cap penalty. They can still get something for him but it wont be much, but they wont have to pay hand over fist to have another team take him. I dont think Bennett is worth much. Calgary is my second team i follow and i dont think his production lives up to his salary and i don't think his ability to play center is good enough. Retaining salary for this year might make him worth it but next season he will need a new deal and will have to be qualified at least what he is making now which i doubt he will live up too.

With the way the Leafs management runs their team and the amount of media coverage and scrutiny the media already gives Toronto, there's no price at all they'd consider adding DeAngelo. He'd be on their "do not trade for" list, similar to how they had Ryan Merkley on their "do not draft list.

Bennett would be a good add for the playoffs for this team, but not worth the downgrade from Kerfoot. Most I could see Toronto doing is a 3rd or a 2nd with Engvall for Bennett with retained salary. Not saying it's fair value, but their cap situation dictates that and Bennett isn't much of an upgrade of Engvall or Simmonds or any of their bottom 6 as it is already so it's probably not worth the talk.

Yeah I don't want DeAngelo anywhere near the Leafs. I agree with @tomato43 's assessment of Bennett. There's not enough there to motivate a trade.

Yeah like Gorton is giving up those picks to move ADA when he can just buy him out this summer, And Bennett to Toronto makes no sense as he's still a 3rd liner with no PP time in Toronto that's the very reason why he wants out of Calgary.
