on the one hand you haven't paid much for Koivu, but on the other hand Evans is 2nd in faceoff's, just behind Danault and his game keeps improving. not sure I make that trade. Mind you Depth is important for a long playoff run!

Asking price for Taylor Hall will likely be a first round pick, a third round pick, and two to three prospects or a prospect and a roster player. Given he has a NMC, he probably would accept to Montreal, but also given that Taylor Hall being here is a huge part of making Eichel happy, it's unlikely the Sabres move him as long as they are in reach of a playoff spot, and even if they aren't, it's more likely they try to keep him long term, although that will cost them Sam Reinhart. Even if the Sabres plan to keep Hall, they'll likely need to pick between Hall and Reinhart, but it's unlikely either one comes available before the Summer, Hall is obviously more likely if the Sabres free fall in the standings again.

yeah, thats what i think would happen. If sabres cant make the playoffs i can see them trading him, teams aren't gonna overpaid for him tho. he becomes a free agent

Sabres pass, if they trade Hall they arent going to take negative cap for 2 more years and Mete has 0 value to Buffalo

A player like Hall will likely go for that price. Expring contracts of players of this calliber tend to go for first and third rounders with prospects. If Buffalo can't get that, then they will likely hold on to him

While Byron is a cap dump and the fourth does not add much. Mete would be a good addition with the first.
Essentially Buffalo would be trading a player who did not help them into the playoffs to shore up their LHD while adding to the future with a first.
I would be more inclined to make this deal if Byron played RW for half the contract.
Armia, Mete and first for Hall seems to be about correct.
Armia and Hall are UFA's after this season so each team would be responsible for signing the respective players.
