I think the move to wing really helped him free his offensive skills. It amazes me how he's been playing since the 90's and people still can't spell his name right.

They all said that Joe and Simmonds made the Leafs worse and neither of them could contribute anymore. I believe the exact comments were that they were "Old and slow and can't keep up with the Leafs"

Beat out an icing as well, he's not slow but his explosiveness is gone. Once he's moving he's average I'd say. But his smarts more than make up for it, especially with Matthews and Marner being the guys carrying the puck up ice.

I have no problem with him there. Especially since it frees up Hyman to play with JT.
