That'd most likely cost them Myers as well in the ExD.

They would lose Ekholm like LeBrun stated. They would try to pay Seattle not to take him. If not just use him as a rental.

I saw someone say that they could use Ekholm as a rental and because he hhas years on his contract trade him before the expansion draft to get assets back. As much as I hate to say it I find it really hard to find a spot for frost in a fully healthy line up even long term the team should be in win now mode and this helps the defense significantly

Yeah you can still make moves after the season before the expansion draft. Can look to flip Ekholm for some assets or look to move Sanheim for an upgrade at wing in the top 6.
