Don't think the Hawks sell that low on Strome

I mean JEE is a good 3C. I think once Toews and Dach comes back, he would be a great fit on your 3rd line. I could also see CHI trading strome for a LHD

MIN loves defense and Ek does defense. Strome also isn’t the kind of guy the Wild need from a team building perspective.

You could also make the argument Strome is a fringe 2C, just like Ek but Ek has a more complete game.

I think Ek is definitely better defensively, but strome has more offensive talent

They’re comparable players

EKK reminds me of Toews defensively but he doesn't have that offensive game like Toews does, If I would to trade Strome it would be for a top 6 RW like Buchnevich or Tuch.

So you think strome has more potential and also think the hawks add a pick? Hawks decline

Good luck talking about buch on this site, I was told yesterday the only way we get him is for Dach lol

Both wild fans and hawks fans think their player is better. Must mean it’s a fair trade

If both teams think they lose, then I wouldn't make that trade, but yes.

I think it means there’s no reason for a trade.

I don’t think you’re getting either of those guys for strome. And in this situation I sign Palmeri as a good top 6RW

They’ve got pretty equal value. Wild could use more offence, hawks could use a good defensive 3C once they’re healthy

Chicago would add a little but both teams need a 2nd line center and have a surplus of winger to be moved for one.

De Haan hopefully to Seattle and Beaudin takes his place. Kurashev on 4th line does him a disservice. Shaw likely/hopefully out LTIR and Kampf/Carpenter on 4th line. Zadorov likely gets $4.5M.

Problem is, Eriksson Ek has had a breakout season this year offensively. He's been on our 1st line. So we really shouldn't be trading him for a guy who does the same offensively but is worse defensively.

Strome is more talented but I'm not sure I'd like this trade. Ek has been proving me wrong every game this year and his growth has really skyrocketed. I'd be really surprised if we traded him unless it's in a package for someone like Eichel.

If Toews, Dach, and Soderberg are back on the hawks for next season, Chicago doesn't really need a defensive center because those 3 guys are good defensively, the hawks biggest need is a top LHD that is responsible defensively, and there 2nd biggest need is a 2nd line RW

I mean career wise strome has definitely been better offensively. He’s definitely got more offensive talent despite the slow start to the season

Zadorov shouldn't/doesn't deserve or get 4.5 million, this season he has been very inconsistent defensively and that money is better off signing a free agent like Martinez.

I could see strome+ moved for a LHD then. Also you think Soderberg comes back?

Z won't get that much but could see him at $4M
