Value's decent here, maybe tad too much coming from Dallas in both exchanges, but it's not bad.

Personally though I'd want them to retool, not use their already low amount of prospects to bring them short term strengthening.

Don't see the Stars needing to do the Nashville trade. Oleksiak is a perfectly solid top-4 LD for Dallas & makes Ekholm more of a luxury than a need. With the lack of scoring the Stars have on their roster, Robertson is a non-starter in any negotiations. He's been arguably our best forward over the last month or so of the season & is beginning to realize his top-6 potential on this team.

If I'm Dallas, I make the Chicago trade, and don't make the Nashville trade.

Wouldn't do the Nashville trade, primarily for the reason you listed above, but here's how I see the Chicago deal; the Stars are getting younger at D by moving from Lindell to Zadorov & adding a 23-year old Strome at the cost of a young, fairly promising 4th rounder (Stranges) & a 3rd round pick. The Stars can still easily make a retool work with the remaining prospects & picks, plus they now have a 23-year old top-6 center on their roster.

True. Maybe I'd do the CHI trade, after all.

Nashville accepts this deal. Good value coming back to them.

Agreed. Rather have Robertson than two lesser prospects (if we're using the Muzzin trade as a comparable), and the pick has a much better chance of being a lottery or high pick than if a similar trade was being made a team like BOS.

It's an interesting offer from Chicago's perspective, my gut says it's pretty fair for both sides.

Would swap Lindell for Strome one on one in a heartbeat.

I really like this deal for the Hawks, I think Lindell can be our #1 LHD and Keith can slide to 2nd pair LHD and then the Hawks could trade CDH for a pick so Beaudin can play. I also think Lindell-Boqvist could be a very good pairing where you have Boqvist offensive game and Lindell would be defensive reliable unlike Zadorov and sometimes de Haan.
Then I really like these d-pairings
Lindell-Boqvist
Keith-Mitchell
Beaudin-Murphy

Stranges is also a pretty good prospect which I projected he would either go 2nd or 3rd round and he was probably one of the best prospects for his skating ability. so I think Stranges can turn into a Kurashev like player.
