Well Valimaki would take an huge overpayment IMO then Bennett could work well under Sutter.

Yeah i got that impression, Valimaki is probably the most underrated rookie out there. He is definetly Giordano's successor

The Leafs have plenty of LHD so Valimaki isn't necessary. And Bennett, don't know who he would replace on the Leafs that would make them better.
Nylander has been playing well lately. Leafs need his scoring.
Now for cap reasons, Nylander could be traded this summer.

It shouldn't, Flames dont need a Nylander like player. They need an affordable RHS 2nd line winger with at least some grit

The problem with this trade is that Calgary is right up against the cap before this trade and they would go over it afterwards.

What would probably need to happen is swap out Bennett for Lucic, get Lucic to waive his NMC, retain on Nylander by about 600K and then the trade could happen.

It's asking for a bit much to make the trade work.

Not to mention, this is a trade within the division.

Which makes this trade even harder to accept.

Nylander is gross we should not trade him. I would rather have nylander and not resign andersen
