Decent offer but this severely hurts Flames LD depth since I don't consider Zadorov a reliable top 4 defenseman

I'd think it's probably too much if I'm Chicago.

The pick is probably a mid-1st at this point? Zadorov is maybe a #4D, probably better as a #5? Reichel is a top 6 forward prospect, looks really freaking good? It boils down to two 1sts and Zadorov for Hanifin, and that's just too much.

Idk, maybe I'm high on Reichel. And not a big Hanifin fan, but I think he's slightly overrated because of his name value and his draft status. He's a 2nd pairing D, probably comfortably a #4. He makes some boneheaded mistakes and hasn't gotten his game to where people thought it would be. Sure, he's probably a pretty good breakout candidate to bet on, but that's also a really good prospect to be giving up for a big "if".

Chicago's giving up a bit much imo + I doubt they want to trade pretty much 2 1sts as a rebuilder.

Even if he's Calgary's #1 defender, it doesn't make him a bonafide #1. I agree with @Claebom that he makes some boneheaded mistakes and wouldn't consider him a #1 value. I do think he's a #3 guy on a good defensive team (not #4) but I also think he has the honest potential to be a solid 1st liner as a #2.

Im not saying he’s a bonafide #1 just that he had stepped up his game this year. Also he hasnt really made noticeable boneheaded plays (unlesd you are referring to being stripped of thr puck by McDavid). He has played this season like a regular #2 and with Gios clear regression, has been a very nice change of pace.

Regardless, unless its a major overpayment Hanifin is bot available

Swap out Zadorov with Boqvist and Calgary would seriously consider.

He's not a #1 so I don't really like this move. Plus Reichel has been great in the DEL this year (same ppg as stutzle had last year) and Zadorov finally has started to look decent
