Description

Since coming back from Covid this dude has been fantastic. Offensivly of course he has stood out. 7 points in 8 games since returning. He's taken back over the role of the QB on the #1 PP unit in the league. He has also showed a ton of chemistry with Kane and debrincat. He is starting to look very confident in the offensive zone, something he has not been last year or early this year. his TOI has also increased dramatially. pre covid we were playing him around 14 mins a game and latley it has been 18-19 mins every game. Defensivly i also think Boqvist has looked much much better. People also rip on Boqvist for his defensive game but he's proved people wrong as of late. And if you look at the advanced stats his defensive stats are atcually pretty good. He finally looks like the guy we drafted him to be and I just want to make sure hawks fans are realizing and appreciating that because I haven't seen it talked about on here other than by @stan_bowman

hypothetical lines for tampa tomorrow below if Dehaan can't play. I'm going to assume Strome isn't going to go tomorrow eigther. Not sure if we can get Beaudan back on the Chicago roster in time for the game? if not I guess Bowey is in

I agree Boq has been amazing offensively and he's getting much better defensively as well. He's still young so I hope he can grow into the player we hope he turns into.

I want to give Wyatt Kalynuk a chance. Keep this rookie train going. He's got 6 points in 4 games in the AHL. He deserves a call up

I agree. Hes made a couple of really good defensive plays that impressed me. I wish colliton would give him more creative freedom and get involved in the rushes more.

Yeah he’s been impressive.

On another note, I haven’t looked at Chicago’s lines in a while and HOLY how are they winning this much? That forward corps is Kane, Debrincat, and a bunch of no name brand nhlers lol. Throw in the D made up of half rookies and the unproven goalies this team defies the odds!

All the rookies on offence have been great. Suter, Hagel and Kurashev have been big contributors. Jahnmark and soderberg have also found some offensive game.And typically this offence has Strome in it instead of wallmark or highmore

I posted on @Stan_Bowman 's page and today stating this. I was a big Boqvist nonbeliever but after his COVID he's been doing everything right and everything very well. Advanced stats are mostly improved and the ones that have decreased are because he's doing more high danger plays. I would love to see more primary assists though. He has only 1 this season. Granted, a lot of his assists are Boqvist --> Kane --> Cat. Can't complain about that.

I'm a big Beaudan homer so i'm hoping he can get back in the lineup if Dehaan can't play. Beaudan was great when he was playing for us and I don't really get why he was sent down. He should play over dehaan no doubt in my mind

7 man D rotation isn’t good for veterans. But in all honesty I think hawks took the smart route and wanted to shelter his development, Beaudin got his “here’s your look” now take that down to the AHL and fine tune the small things. Just consider it a good thing that he A+ That stage in his development as a dman.
