Hall would be great but we shouldn't be giving up assets for a winger (and I think he'd require quality over quantity). This team needs a top 6 center desperately.

The cap situation was the problem and there is no good depth centers on the market as of right now

Yeah. . Wild don't need d. Dude you are so funny & wrong

No one is giving up a 1st round pick for rental Taylor hall, much less thinking wild would give up Alexander khovanov, nick bjustad, Carson soucy, Jordan greenway,

You are trolling or just embarrassing with these post.

As much talent as hall has, I don’t particularly think he would
Be a great fit for the wild. And I can’t imagine a scenario in which the greenway would be traded for a rental. Hall is going biggest contract he can get in his next signing and the wild are not going to be a destination for him.

Greenway has 18 points and is under team control another 3 seasons at a minimum. Hall has 14 points and they might get 30 or so games out of him before he's a UFA. Maybe Hall gets back to his old form with a change of scenery, maybe he doesn't but I'd hate to be the GM who gives up a player performing better right now AND a good prospect, defenseman who can play on the 2nd pair if needed, and a couple draft picks to acquire him.

Read it again when I am saying, you are embracing yourself & trolling dude

In what reality are you living in thinking rental Taylor hall will bring backone of wild young leading scorer, wild prospect Alexander khovanov, wild young d Carson soucy? Huh? Your trolling is comical, or you don't know anything about wild or traded

Get real . Wild don't need it want Taylor hall.

To think any team especially wild are dumb is delusional

Agreed Detroit would want more, but the Wild aren't the team to give it. Talbot has been meh, but Kahkonen has played well so doubt they'd give up a prospect like Khusnutdinov or a 2nd to upgrade when they could (and should) just play Kahkonen more. With Guerin just signing Talbot and them waiving Stalock, he's also not going to admit he was probably wrong in acquiring Talbot so soon either.

Exactly. For a rental like Taylor hall, it's 2nd & prospect, or 1st & prospect.

But Taylor hall has sucked, so no team is paying a 1st

AZ and DET trades don't really do anything for MN to make MN better.

The BUF trade makes them a little better on paper, but with Rask and Bonino as the middle-6 centers it's not worth being slightly better at wing.

This is as accurate as it could get. I was just looking at it from a wings perspective. Your take from wild side is hundo% accurate

Taylor hall isn't a c. He's a winger. Rental also.

We don't need depth centers, we need a top 6 player to play on our top line. But you're right, they're hard to come by. I'd just be shocked if we made a move for a rental winger like Hall. He's great, but he doesn't fit a need, he won't put us over the top as a contender, and we'd gut our prospect pool in the process. Just doesn't make a lot of sense IMO.

What is the point of massively overpaying to get Hall, and then proceeding to play him in the 3rd line??
