Description

Despite the Kuemper injury and the crowded division, this team is still in the thick of it. However, with Hayton now in the AHL, Larsson has been bumped up to 3C (a role he isn't completely unsuited for) but it's taken him out of his 4C shut down role. The worse part is that we've been playing fringe (generous) NHL players at 4C. Gauthier and Chaput are zeroes, and its rendered the 4th line essentially useless. The whole point of this trade is just to get a real NHL C on the roster. Frankly we could use 2, one with a little offensive pop would be ideal.

Wallmark has basically been an extra body since Hagel came up, would probably be fine if we moved him. I personally would prefer to keep him as depth, seeing that we are seemingly trying to compete this year but I'll take another pick for the draft as well

Is there a reason you wouldn't trade him? You're terrible, he's not on your timeline for being competitive. Also, Capo could probably play for the Wings today, he's been an AHL all-star multiple times, could bump up the pick to a 3rd. Idk, just food for thought.

I mean this is insignificant money, this isn't a 5M ticket or anything. When management talks about not taking on salary, they are term and long tickets, that's not this.
