Sabres 2nd rd pick is 33-35 right now. You're saying J T Compher is worth more than a 1st rd pick??? Or did you trade the 2nd rd pick to the wrong team????

Going to Buffalo?? They have little, no, interest in Compher. And less interest in trading Staal and picks. They'd be trading him for picks...

The Sabres could just trade Staal to someone else & get a 2nd

We are SELLERS, not “buyers” who are gonna be giving up picks to acquire bottom6 forwards like Compher

Agreed. But, is Staal worth a 2nd at this point? Or, is he just unhappy in BUF and will he be reinvigorated on a contender? Because right now, he looks old and slow and unhappy.

Compher for Staal is a straight swap or the Avs add a late pick if they want retention as well. The NAS trade is horrible. Saros is injured and it's an overpay with our best D prospect involved.

I’ve seen many on here offering a 2nd though, so i just went by that
It’s completely possible we don’t end up getting that much for him

You have to think about getting a 30-40 goal scorer for only a 4.25 cap hit with term. They aren't going to let him go. Saros, I didn't realize he was injured. Avs need to give gru a break. Olso, they won't be giving up anyone that wouldn't be caught in a log jam for 3 years
anyways.

He was drafted by the sabers early 2nd round.. anything past the first round youre hoping to get a role player... its a sure thing rather than taking a gamble. He is still young and plays a lot of defensive minutes. Something the sabers have zero of
