Given how grossly sharks fans overvalue their players on this website, take their value, and this value, meet in the middle, you got a deal. I like the strategy, two terribly opposite ranges of value allows ability to meet in the middle.

I think the 1st autocorrected to the second, and you misspelled Mercer.

Joking aside I know you got the idea from someone else but I really don't get in what world this makes sense. Meier is a consistent 20-30 goal scorer, 24, and led the team in points last season finishing the season practically a ppg. He got put in weird spots this season but I believe with Hertl and then a random winger on the second line he's around a ppg (small sample size tho). Former 9th overall pick and yet to hit his prime, a rebuilding team would be idiotic not to get a first and/or a recent first.
