In theory this trade might work but Comtois is one of the untouchables. He’s actually a young player who has taken the next step.

Comtois has a higher upside than Kerfoot, who has already plateaued, or Robertson, and that first is going to be right about where we took Steel, so we're losing years of development there . . . no, thanks.

i don't really know what your point is. I got people on here saying it's an overpay and I got people saying it's not enough. that's AGM in a nutshell

Leafs fans make a lot of biased trades but I remember when Ducks fans used to think Manson is worth Nylander.

I know the ducks won't be parting with Comtois, but the same can be said about Robertson to be fair. Both teams probably decline this trade.

Manson certainly isn't special anymore. Comtois is the best of the all the players. Steel provides no value now, or even in the future. . Kerfoot has been capable this year. So with Covid restrictions, the Leafs might gain a bit this year. But Leaf aren't trading Robertson who has looked good in the AHL even as a junior, and to add first and third? Big overpay by the Leafs.

ExD kinda ruins the trade. TOR would be set on losing something significant (Manson or Steel) in a matter of months after the trade.

The point was to bash Leaf fans.
