I was just saying, if Dallas wanted to reunite the Robertson boys (looks like it could be a great idea) leafs would prolly want Oettinger

Except both DAL goalies are as old as a goaltending duo should get, so they 100% keep Oettinger...

If we were to trade Otter it would be for an overpay. Plus our two other goalies are old and will start to decrease in skill in the next few years.

I figured. I think leafs should overpay for Otty tbh. Even if it means robertson+

Getting a good, young, elc goalie is so valuable. Spoken from past experience haha

Lets be real theres a chance they can do it but the starts need to show up and Freddie needs to get 100% healthy. The finals will be the real test as

Vegas or Colorado
Carolina or Tampa
Capitals or Islanders

are all tough opponents even with the offensive power the leafs have

Here's my take on the Wood and Coleman comparison based on how I've seen them play in NJ

Wood is better offensively, more physical, younger. Coleman is better defensively, could also score, and cheaper. People act like Wood isn't that good, but he has really elevated his play this year. Much better offensively and more responsible defensively. Although I think Coleman is more valuable based on his two-way game, the value isn't as far off as people are saying.

The only two Stars prospects that damn near 100% untouchable are Oettinger & Robertson. The Stars are in prime position to move on from Khudobin or Bishop, but won’t be in the position to move on from a young goalie until they see whether or not Remi Poirier amounts to anything. Moving Oettinger sets this team back AT LEAST 4 years in goal.

As much as I’d love Nick Robertson, if Oettinger is the price then it’s a non-starter for the Stars.
