The Yotes need picks and assets. They got caught cheating the CBA and forfeited picks.

Garland to the leafs doesn’t really make any sense tbh. He’s and rfa and they have no cap space next year. He’s going to want atleast 5+ and leafs have no way to make it happen.

Not after they sign Hyman and a goalie and fill out the roster. They have around 7-8 million before signing Hyman and a starting goalie. Those will cost around 8 million atleast. They have no room to sign garland.

If they dump kerfoot and let go off holl, you won’t see a lot of contracts over 5 mil this year and coming years. Give him 5x4.5 with signing bonuses hyman gets 4.5 and you can sign a goalie for 2.5-3 mil.

And spots to fill, they are cap strapped.

I don’t think he signs that. Maybe a shorter term deal for that price. However it still doesn’t really work. Leafs would need to find a top 4 d and 3rd line center for league minimum contracts and run a 20 man roster to make it work. I just don’t think it’s realistic.

It’s a tough decision because, if the Leafs make this trade they would have to protect 7 forwards and 3 defence. Meaning Holl would likely be claimed by Seattle. I believe they would prefer the 4 and 4 option.

He has arb rights this offseason. Toronto is the last team with their cap that should be trading got guys that have a strong arb case to make a lot of money next seson

same with Abruzze who was tied for being the best NCAA point producers last season before getting injured
Engvall would be Brassards replacement if hes moved

that said Toronto aint paying that

Muzzin (a top 4 dman) was got for 2 B prospects and a 1st. Forwards are worth less so paying Arizona an A prospect, B prospect, solid depth guy and 2 high picks would not be worth it.
